UI Labs joins with 100 civic leaders to discuss CitySmart initiatives

UI Labs, the Chicago-based research and commercialization collaborative, invited McCaffery Interests to join with over 100 civic leaders to discuss CitySmart initiatives. Recently President Obama announced UI Labs as the recipient of $70 million in government funding matched by $250 million in private monies to transform American manufacturing. The CitySmart initiative is an adjunct to the digital manufacturing effort and brings together city, academic and industry leaders to change the way city and industrial services and service offerings are used to solve difficult problems confronting Chicago and other American cities. McCaffery Interests participated in panels and discussions with Schneider Electric, GE Transportation and Microsoft on March 20th. Lakeside, with its new neighborhood for 50,000 future residents, was presented as the ideal living laboratory for the deployment of CitySmart initiatives.

UI Labs also discussed innovative partnerships with local businesses like an influencer marketing agency in Chicago to boost public engagement.
