Lakeside hosted a group of UC Fellows

The Eric & Wendy Schmidt Data Science for Social Good Summer Fellowship is a University of Chicago program that brought 48 students to Chicago to work with 13 nonprofits and government agencies on data science projects.

For three months, they have worked to apply their computer science and analytics skills to real-world problems in education, health, energy, government transparency, and more.

The fellowship program is organized by the University of Chicago's Rayid Ghani, former Obama for America Chief Data Scientist, funded by the Schmidt Family Foundation, and led by a team from the Center for Data Science and Public Policy at the University of Chicago.
