We invite you to celebrate the start of Chicago’s next mark on History with the Grand Opening of the newly extended South Lake Shore Drive. This extension will allow access to the largest parcel available for development within the Chicago City limits and connectivity to reach the full city of Chicago lakefront by one road. The Lakeside Team has been eagerly anticipating the opening of South Lake Shore Drive to provide access to the Lakeside site – this is a real milestone for the development. We invite you to join us in the celebration by participating in the following ways:

-Attend the ribbon cutting ceremony on October 26th at 9:00 AM at Lakeside with elected officials and the development team.

-Register for the 5k run/walk 9:30 AM start – as a corporate team, or independently with up to 6 people. There will be an awards ceremony for the fastest runners in each age class. Please go to www.chicagolakesidefest.com to register. A portion of the 5k proceeds will be donated to 2 local charities.

-Attend the all-day Lakeside Festival from 11am - 6pm with food vendors, artisans, farmer’s market and family friendly activities, live music (well-known Chicago famous bands w/ Headliners playing in the afternoon)
